TPG 40th Birthday Competition

Overview

  1. Information on how to enter the TPG 40th Birthday Competition (Competition) and the available prizes forms part of these terms and conditions of entry (Terms and Conditions). Submission of an entry is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.

  2. The promoter is TPG Telecom Limited (ACN 096 304 620) of Level 27, Tower Two, International Towers Sydney, 200 Barangaroo Avenue, Barangaroo NSW 2000 (TPG) (Promoter).

  3. By entering this Competition, each Entrant (as defined in clause 4) acknowledges, agrees and/or consents to the following:

    a. they have read, understood and accepted these Terms and Conditions; and

    b. if selected as the Winner (as defined in clause 20) or Back-Up Winner (as defined in clause 35):

    1. they will be notified by the Promoter in writing by text message and/or email to the phone number and/or email address provided in their Entry (as set out in clauses 30 and 36);

    2. their last name, first initial and postcode may be published within 7 days of the relevant draw on the Promoter’s website at tpg.com.au/competition-birthday in accordance with these Terms and Conditions (as set out in clause 46); and

    3. the Promoter may request the Eligible Entrant to produce reasonable documentation in order to confirm their eligibility to enter and claim a Prize and their nominated authorised deposit-taking institution (ADI) account to receive the Prize (as set out in clause 39).

Eligibility

  1. Entry is only open to Australian residents aged 18 or above who are TPG customers with one or more TPG services that are active at the prize draw date at 10:00AM (AEST) on Friday, 2 October 2026 (Active TPG Service) (Eligible Entrants or Entrant). For the purpose of a second Entry Submission (as set out in clause 7; see also clauses 11 and 12) by an Eligible Entrant, an Active TPG Service means any one of the three following actions: purchasing and activating a new TPG service; upgrading an existing active TPG service; or moving homes and retaining their existing active TPG service.

  2. Employees (and their immediate families) of the Promoter, participating retailers or any of their associated agencies or companies are ineligible to enter.

Competition Period

  1. The Competition commences at 09:00AM (AEST) on Wednesday, 19 August 2026 and concludes at 12:00PM (AEST) on Tuesday, 29 September 2026 (Competition Period).

How to enter

  1. To submit an entry in the Competition, Eligible Entrants must, during the Competition Period complete the form available at tpg.com.au/competition-birthday by:

    a. entering their contact details, including their first name, last name, email address, mobile number, street address and state or territory; and

    b. agreeing to these Terms and Conditions.

Entry or Entry Submission

  1. Entry into the Competition will occur automatically upon making an Entry Submission.

  2. Entries will only be considered if they are made within the Competition Period.

  3. Entries will be deemed invalid if an Eligible Entrant does not have an Active TPG Service at the prize draw date at 10:00AM (AEST) on Friday, 2 October 2026.

  4. Eligible Entrants can only enter one Entry Submission per Active TPG Service, and a maximum of two Entry Submissions in total.

  5. If the Eligible Entrant enters a second Entry Submission without a second Active TPG Service, that second Entry Submission will automatically be deemed invalid. Any third or subsequent Entry Submission(s) made by the same Eligible Entrant will automatically be deemed invalid, regardless of whether the Eligible Entrant has a third or more Active TPG Service. 

  6. An Entry is deemed to be received at the time of its receipt by the Promoter and not at the time of transmission.

  7. Any costs associated with entering the Competition are the Entrant’s responsibility.

  8. The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of Entries and to disqualify any Entrant who the Promoter believes has either tampered with the Entry process or has made an Entry Submission other than in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.

  9. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.

  10. Incomplete Entries will be deemed invalid. Any incorrect details submitted may render the corresponding Entry invalid.

  11. All Entries are the property of the Promoter. No responsibility is accepted for Entries not received by the Promoter. Entries will be deemed invalid if stolen, forged, mutilated or tampered with in any way.

  12. If there is a dispute as to the identity of an Entrant, the Entrant will be deemed to be the person in whose name the Entry was made and based on the email address associated with their TPG account, mobile number and street address provided in their Entry.

Selection of Winners and Prize

  1. There will only be 1 winner of the Competition in total (Winner)

  2. A draw to select the Winner will be conducted by the Promoter at Level 27, Tower Two, International Towers Sydney, 200 Barangaroo Avenue, Barangaroo NSW 2000 at 10:00AM (AEST) on Friday, 2 October 2026 (Prize Draw Date). An Eligible Entrant who has made an Entry will be in the draw.

  3. This Competition is a game of chance.

  4. The Winner will receive a cash prize of $40,000 (Prize).

  5. The Total Prize Value = $40,000 incl GST.

  6. The Promoter accepts no responsibility and will not be held liable for any actual or risk of loss or damage, injury or any other claims in connection with the use of the Prize by the Winner.

  7. The Prize is not transferable to a third party or exchangeable.

  8. If the Promoter is unable to supply the Prize, or part of the Prize, the Promoter reserves the right, subject to the written directions of any competent authority, to supply another prize of greater or equal value.

  9. All additional costs not expressly stated, but which may be incurred in acceptance and use of the Prize, are the sole responsibility of the Winner.

  10. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for a Prize being lost in transit.

Notification and re-selection of Winner

  1. The Promoter will notify the Winner in writing by 11:59PM (AEST) on Wednesday, 7 October 2026, by text message and/or email to the phone number and/or email address provided in their Entry, which will announce them as a Winner. The Winner will be instructed to confirm their eligibility and ability to claim the Prize. The Promoter will not request credit card details from the Winner to claim a Prize.

  2. The Promoter will take all reasonable steps to notify the Winner.

  3. The Winner must claim their Prize by 11:59PM (AEST) on Wednesday, 21 October 2026 (Prize Claim Date).

  4. Once the Winner has claimed their Prize and their eligibility and ability to claim the Prize are confirmed, the Promotor will request further details from the Winner to deposit the Prize into the Winner’s nominated ADI account, and the Prize will be deposited in the nominated ADI account as soon as reasonably practicable.

  5. If for any reason whatsoever the Winner does not claim their Prize by the Prize Claim Date, then the Prize will be forfeited by the Winner and no other prize will be awarded in lieu of that Prize.

  6. If for any reason whatsoever the Winner does not accept their Prize by the Prize Claim Date, the Promoter will redraw and announce a back-up winner (Back-Up Winner) at 10:00AM (AEST) on Thursday, 22 October 2026 (Back-Up Winner Selection) at Level 27, Tower Two, International Towers Sydney, 200 Barangaroo Avenue, Barangaroo NSW 2000. This Back-Up Winner will enjoy the same rights and responsibilities as the Winner they replaced, as outlined in these Terms and Conditions.

  7. The Back-Up Winner will be notified in writing by 11:59PM (AEST) on Tuesday, 27 October 2026 by text message and/or email to the phone number and/or email address provided in their Entry by the Promoter.

  8.  

If for any reason whatsoever the Back-Up Winner does not claim their Prize by 11:59PM (AEST) on Tuesday, 10 November 2026, then the Prize will be forfeited by the Back-Up Winner and no other prize will be awarded in lieu of that Prize.

General

  1. Eligible Entrants can only enter in their own name.

  2. The Promoter reserves the right to request the Eligible Entrant to produce reasonable documentation (to the Promoter’s satisfaction, at its sole discretion) in order to confirm:

    a. the Eligible Entrant’s eligibility to enter and claim a Prize; and

    b. the nominated ADI account under which they wish to receive the Prize if the Eligible Entrant is selected as the Winner or the Back-Up Winner, before issuing the Prize.

  3. If for any reason whatsoever beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, the Competition is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated, the Promoter reserves the right, in its discretion, unless to do so would be prohibited by law, to (a) disqualify any Entrant; and/or (b) to cancel, suspend, modify, terminate or cancel the Competition, subject to State or Territory regulation.

  4. The Entrants’ personal information will be collected by the Promoter. Personal information will be stored on the Promoter’s databases. Personal information will be handled in accordance with the Promoter’s privacy policy which is located at https://www.tpg.com.au/about-us/legal/privacy. The Promoter gathers personal information about Entrants to enable them to participate in this Competition and may disclose the Entrants’ personal information to third parties including prize suppliers and service providers to assist in conducting this Competition and to the State and Territory trade promotion or lottery departments as required under the relevant trade promotion or lottery legislation. If the Entrant does not provide their personal information as requested, they may be ineligible to enter into the Competition and/or receive the Prize.

  5. The Promoter assumes no responsibility for, and the Eligible Entrant releases the Promoter from responsibility for, any failure to receive an Entry or for inaccurate information or for any loss, claim, damage or injury to person or property (including computer systems and servers) as a result of the Eligible Entrant’s participation in the Competition or the conduct of the Competition generally or as a direct or indirect result of an Entrant’s error, any technical problem of any kind including communications or network failure, unauthorised access to, transferring or theft of data, whether caused by the Eligible Entrant or associated with the equipment or programming used in the conduct of this Competition. If, because of any such problem, this Competition is not able to be conducted as planned and/or the Competition’s administration, security, fairness or integrity are compromised or affected, the Promoter may (where necessary with the approval of the relevant department) cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Competition and/or disqualify any Entrant involved in interfering or tampering with the conduct of this Competition in any way.

  6. These Terms and Conditions do not, nor do they intend to, limit, exclude or modify any non-excludable statutory guarantee under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth) or any other warranties (whether express or implied) or terms under any state or federal legislation which cannot be excluded.

  7. Subject to clause 43 and to the maximum extent permitted under law, the Promoter (including its officers, employees and agents) excludes all liability whether arising in tort (including, without limitation, negligence), contract or otherwise for any personal injury or any other loss or damage (including without limitation loss of opportunity or loss or profits) whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the Competition, including, without limitation, the following: (a) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoter’s control); (b) any theft, unauthorised access or third party interference; (c) any Entry or Prize claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after receipt by the Promoter) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter; (d) any variation in Prize value to that stated in these Terms and Conditions; (e) any tax implications; and/or (f) a Prize or use of a Prize. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions affects the statutory rights of any person under the Australian Consumer Law or any other applicable law.

  8. This Competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with Facebook, X, YouTube, Instagram or TikTok. The Entrant releases Facebook, X, YouTube, Instagram and TikTok from all liability in relation to the Competition.
