What are the price beat guarantee eligible nbn® plans and Eligible Providers?

Eligible nbn® plans include NBN100, NBN Superfast and NBN Ultrafast only. The Eligible Providers include Aussie Broadband, Belong, Dodo, Exetel, Optus, Superloop, Tangerine and Telstra.

Where can I claim the price beat guarantee?

To claim the price beat guarantee, you can either:

  • contact the TPG call centre,
  • use the online chat on the TPG website
  • submit the online claim form on the price beat guarantee page

If you make the claim after signing up for your service, a claim can only be submitted by the online claim form within seven days of your signup date.

If you have already signed up to a service, you’ll need to submit a price beat claim using the online form within seven days of signing up.

What does the price beat guarantee exclude?

The price beat guarantee applies only to plan fees and does not include the cost of any installation, modem or any add-ons or inclusions. It is only available to new customers and does not apply to customers changing the rate or plan of their existing plan.

The price beat guarantee is not available if the Eligible Provider’s offer is:

  • part of a bundle with any other product or service (for example, mobile, banking, utility, etc.);
  • inclusive of a locked in contract;
  • inclusive of non-price incentives (including but not limited to cashback, coupon offers or gift cards, reward points, speed upgrade);
  • for commercial / business nbn® service;
  • a corporate benefit price; or
  • priced incorrectly.
How long after I sign up can I submit a claim?

Price beat guarantee claims must be submitted within seven days of the signup date of an eligible nbn® plan using the online claim form.

You are also able to submit a claim through the call centre or the online chat at the time of purchase.

What proof do I need to claim the price beat guarantee?

You will need to supply the Eligible Provider’s advertised price and the duration of the offered price (e.g. $79.99 per month for the first six months).

You may be asked to provide further proof in support of a price beat guarantee claim, including dates, price and terms and conditions of an Eligible Provider’s offer.

How long does it take for an online claim to be assessed?

We will assess your claim and you’ll receive an email response within 10 business days of submitting your online claim.

When will I receive my price beat discount?

You’ll receive an email confirmation with your price beat offer (if applicable) within 10 business days. This offer will be applied to your subsequent bills as either a plan price adjustment or a credit.

Terms and conditions

The TPG NBN Price Beat Guarantee Offer (‘Offer’) is available to new TPG consumer customers (‘Eligible Customers’) who sign up to any NBN100, Superfast or Ultrafast plan (‘Eligible Plans’) from 26/06/2024. Offer is available until withdrawn. Offer is available via sales call centre, online chat on TPG website or online claim form only.

Eligible Providers are Telstra, Optus, Aussie Broadband, Superloop, Belong Dodo, Exetel, Tangerine (‘Eligible Providers’ ). To redeem the Offer, the lower price must be (1) available to the general public; (2) offered on the same or an equivalent NBN plan as the TPG Eligible Plan chosen to price beat (‘Your Service’); (3) advertised on an Eligible Provider's publicly available website at the time of purchasing Your Service, or within 7 days of purchase if you submit the online claim form. Eligible Provider’s NBN plan must be available (or have been available within the 7 day period) for immediate purchase using the same payment method. Customer may be asked to provide evidence in support of a price beat guarantee claim, including the date, price and terms and conditions of an Eligible Provider’s offer.

The Offer means that the total cost of the plan fees for Your Service for the first 12 months will be lower than an Eligible Provider’s total advertised retail plan fees for the first 12 months (‘Provider’s Offer’). It does not mean that your plan fees will necessarily be lower than the Eligible Provider's offer during the first month or any particular month of Your Service. Once your price beat guarantee claim is verified, we will create an offer for Your Service at the lower price for the first 12 months. The Offer applies only to the plan fees for an Eligible Provider's plan and Your Service and does not include the cost of any installation, modem or other add-ons or inclusions. After the first 12 months, your monthly plan fees will be charged at the then undiscounted monthly price for Your Service.

Standard upfront undiscounted payment applies on sign up to Your Service. Offer will be applied to subsequent bills (as applicable) as an adjustment or credit. Offer can only be claimed once per Eligible Plan and is only available at point of sale or, if you submit the online claim form, within 7 days of the date of sign up of Your Service. Offer is not available if any of the eligibility criteria is not met, or we determine the evidence you provide to be fake or falsified in any way.

The Eligible Provider's Offer is ineligible for this Offer if it is: part of a bundle with any other product or service (for example, mobile, banking, utility, etc.); inclusive of a locked in contract; inclusive of non-price incentives (including but not limited to cashback, coupon offers or gift cards, reward points, speed upgrade); for commercial / business NBN service; a corporate benefit price; priced incorrectly.

This offer is available in conjunction with other in-market offers, however such other offer (as applicable) will be taken into account when calculating the total cost of the plan fees for Your Service for the first 12 months. Excludes customers changing the rate or plan of their existing plan. Offer is forfeited if you cancel or change your plan within the first 12 months. Not for commercial or resale purposes.
